Health Guarantee:
(Required)
Puppy is to be health checked by a licensed vet within 96 hrs of possession unless otherwise communicated to us that is not possible before the 96 hrs. A copy of this certification must be sent to Gucci Frenchies within a week for health guarantee to be in effect. We STRONGLY recommend a vet check for your protection and ours. Although a conscious effort is made by Gucci Frenchies to breed and produce healthy, sound bulldogs, the buyer is aware and understands that due to the nature of the breed bulldogs are predisposed to certain breed specific issues that are NOT GUARANTEED. Most of which can also be caused by environmental and not genetic factors. The puppy is warranted for one year against fatal and life altering genetic diseases: including severe hip dysplasia, kidney, heart, pancreas, or liver problems. Conditions must be of a severe life-threatening nature. This contract does NOT cover normal conditions of this breed such as: cherry eye, entropion or ectropion, loose hips or knees, allergies, soft pallet issues, trachea issues, stenotic nares, inverted tails, uneven bits, skin allergies, fertility issues, parasitic, fungal or bacterial infections, respiratory infections, immune deficiencies, undescending testicles, butterfly vertebrae, localized demodex, etc. Hemivertebrae are also not covered as all French Bulldogs (brachiocephalic breeds in general) are considered to be predisposed to Hemivertebrae because of the breed characteristic of the screw-tail. Hemivertebrae are bones of the spine that are abnormally shaped. It is VERY important to not let them jump from beds, chairs, couches, etc. as this can lead to hip, spine, and/or elbow injuries. Coccidiosis, giardia, or kennel cough are not covered in this contract but are easily treatable and can be common in puppies. Sometimes these come about from the stress of moving to their new home. Although we try our best to deliver 100% free of these conditions, they may show up during the stress of transport and changing environments. We do NOT breed with undesirable conditions; however, we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions in their lineage. Therefore, we cannot guarantee these conditions will not show up unbeknownst to us in future litters. It is also very important to have a vet that is knowledgeable about the bulldog breed. A puppy that has died from anesthesia as a result of being put under for surgery is not covered in this contract. Putting a bulldog under requires a skilled and knowledgeable vet and all necessary precautions to be in place. Any physical problem which is or could be caused by accident, injury, neglect, or poor diet, is also not covered in this contract.
It is understood that the seller assumes no responsibility after the puppy leaves the premises for any change of mind on the buyers’ part such as landlord’s disapproval, allergies, disagreement of family, trouble with housebreaking etc. Please let me know, however, because I will be happy to try to find a new home replacement!
Puppy must show defect within one year of age. Seller much be notified of problem within seven days of diagnosis. Buyer must have reports from two different licensed veterinarians from two unassociated veterinarian clinics. These reports much reach same diagnosis and conclusion. Buyer must obtain all records and get them to seller within seven days of the first diagnosis in order for the seller’s vet to also review them. Buyers must return the puppy to the seller within 14 days of the report of the first diagnosis. Return of the puppy is the to the seller is at the buyer’s expense. The seller will replace the affected puppy with a puppy of equal value and the same sex at the seller’s discretion when one becomes available. To validate this health, guarantee the buyer must have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian in the state the buyer resides in within 96 hours of receiving the said puppy. Affected puppy must be in good condition other than the specified condition. Buyer is responsible for all the shipping costs, including shipping the affected puppy to the seller as well as shipping the replacement puppy back to the buyer. No replacement will be given if the affected puppy is euthanized without the seller’s permission.
If the puppy should die within the one-year warranty, buyer is required to have a necropsy performed to determine the cause of death. No replacement will be given if affected puppy dies and the buyer does not perform a necropsy or if the necropsy does not show any congenital defects listed above. If the necropsy report confirms it is genetic, the seller will replace the puppy with one of similar value. NO full or partial refunds will be given to the buyer.
Affected puppy is by REPLACEMENT ONLY. Seller will try to match you with another puppy that is the same value as the original puppy. Pup may not be the same color or from the same parents. Buyer has the right to refuse and wait for another litter if they are not happy with the options. That does not mean the Buyer gets the first pick from the next litter, however, pup still must be close to equal value of the original puppy. Buyer and seller will work closely together in the replacement process, but the seller ultimately has the final say.
I have read and understand the Health Guarantee.
Transportation
(Required)
Transportation of your new puppy is buyer’s responsibility. I have many good resources to offer as far as Pet Flight nanny (preferred) where the puppy can be in cabin and the flight nanny can meet you at your closest airport; if available. These need to be booked at least a few weeks in advance to ensure that both dates work for both the nanny and the new owner. Because the nannies are on standby arrival times must be flexible. Some new owners may choose to pick them up in person. If schedule allows, meeting can be arranged within an hour of Polk City, Iowa.
I have read and understand the transportation requirements.

When spay or neuter is complete proof must be provided to the seller. The seller in turn will provide AKC registration paperwork.
Seller cannot guarantee adult size or conformation of the dog and can only give estimates of these things to the best of their experiences. Buyer hereby releases seller of such warranties. Buyer agrees to follow regular vaccine, and deworming of the dog/puppy throughout its life by a licensed veterinarian. Failure to do so causes the contract to be null and void. Dog/puppy will be up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming when it leaves the premises of the seller, and those records will be provided to the buyer.

By signing this health contract, the buyer agrees and accepts all terms and conditions implied in this contract.
I have read and understand the buyer's responsibilities.
